Dear Parents,

Over the past few years, more and more parents have enjoyed the convenience of online ordering. The site has been redesigned this year and seems easier than ever to use. If you would like to order online, the directions are below. (Of course you can always send in the printed flyer with your child.) There are a few advantages to ordering online; you will find a wider selection of books than in the printed flyers, and you can send your orders directly to my online account with Scholastic and use your credit card to pay. I have always been an advocate for the Scholastic system that I grew up with in the 70’s. This included, looking at or reading the flyers and wishing for everything. A short time later, my dreams came true when some of the wished for items were received. Please have your child read the paper flyers and/or the online flyers. I strongly believe it is a part of instilling the love of reading.
It’s so simple! Here’s how it works:

  • SIGN UP at If it is your first time ordering, enter the one-time Class Activation Code shown above. This unique code ensures that your order is associated with our class.
  • SELECT the books you’d like to order. Choose from thousands of titles. There are many more than in our monthly flyers.
  • SEND your order  online by the due date and your child’s books will be delivered.

Ordering online is fast, easy, and secure. Of course, if you prefer, you can still order using the form from the printed flyers. Just send them to school with a check or cash made out to Scholastic. Only one check is necessary, even if you order from several flyers. If you would ever like to give a book to your child as a gift, let me know via email and I will get the book to you “secretly” when the order arrives.

If you have any questions please reach out to me.

Thank you,

Mrs. Clor

Meet The Teacher and the Assistant

Sandra Clor – Lead Teacher

My name is Sandra Clor. I have been a member of Immanuel since 1987. I received my certification in early childhood studies in 2002.  I have been in a preschool classroom setting ever since. My husband and I have been married for 34 years. We have two grown sons ages 27 and 25 years old.

I strongly believe that early childhood is a key stepping-stone on a path of a life-long journey with Jesus. I cherish the opportunity of being a part of sharing the love of Jesus with children and their families. I am thankful for the opportunity to work in a nurturing environment where children can play, learn, and experience new challenges that will help each child grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Long ago, I found myself truly enjoying, caring, nurturing, and guiding preschoolers. As a result, I have dedicated my professional life to children. My favorite experience about teaching is seeing a smile and feeling a connection when I have helped a child with something as little as putting on a band aid or learning something awesome and new. Working, learning, and playing with God’s little gems, is a daily adventure and a true pleasure!

Becky Safran –  4 Year Old Assistant Teacher

My name is Becky Safran. I am very excited to continue to work with children and families here at Immanuel. I have been married to Matt for 20 years and we live in Clinton Township. We have three children, all of whom attend(ed) school here at Immanuel. My son Luke is in 12th  grade, my son Noah is in 9th grade, and my daughter Leah is in 6th grade. We also have two dogs named Penny and Parker. In my free time, I enjoy attending my children’s sporting events, reading, and spending time with family and friends. I assisted Carol Shull in the 3 year old preschool for two years. This year I am excited to team up again with Mrs. Southern for our 4th year together in the 3’s program and my 2nd year with Mrs. Clor. This will be my 6th year working with preschoolers at Immanuel.

My name is Cristina Vloch. I have been married to my husband, Brian, for 18 years. We have three children, Cathryn (17) who will be a senior during the 2021-2022 school year at Lutheran High Northwest, and our twins Sarah and Samuel (9) who will be in 3rd grade.  All of my children attend(ed) Immanuel.  We also have 3 fur babies, Simba, Nala, and Sandy.  They are Chinese Shar-peis. This will be my 4th year as a preschool assistant, as well as my 2nd year as a lead preschool teacher. I will be graduating in December 2021 with my degree in Early Childhood Studies from Macomb Community College.
