Music Program

Making a joyful noise unto the Lord!

Students explore units in melody, harmony, rhythm, and form. Students are provided the opportunity to describe, analyze, and evaluate various and diverse pieces of music. 

The students learn self-discipline and teamwork as they advance in their musical abilities. In addition, the children provide a valuable contribution to worship as they praise the Lord with their voices. They will also learn proper practice and performance habits.

Immanuel Lutheran School provides students with an array of opportunities to learn to sing and to play instruments. School choirs and those selecting choir for an elective sing in worship services at various times during the year.

Our music teachers teach students the joy of music, how to serve and honor God with their musical gifts, and inspires a lifelong love of music!

• Music instruction is a part of the weekly classroom schedule in Kindergarten – 5th Grade
• Recorder – 4th Grade
• Beginning Band – 5th Grade Elective
• Advanced Band – 6th-8th Grade Elective
• Ensemble Choir – 6th-8th Grade Elective
• Handbells – 6th-8th Grade Elective
