On Palm Sunday, we are celebrating first communion for our confirmation students! This will be at all services 8, 9:30 and 11. There will be no Mosaic
on Palm Sunday or Easter. Easter services are all identical with a traditional liturgy and a mix of both choir, hymns and modern songs.

There are four Easter services, one on Saturday at 6:30pm, then on Sunday at 8, 9:30 and 11.  Maundy Thursday service is at 6:30pm and Good Friday services are at 1pm and 6:30pm.  You can find more Holy Week details and service times on the Immanuel website.

Take the opportunity for a family photo op that will be set up in the Community Center.  On Easter morning there will also be refreshments in the Community Center.

Come along and unpack the life of the early church in the book of Acts which shows that the kingdom of God is always on the move, always looking outward to bring meaning and joy to a world searching for true fulfillment and hope.  See how God’s Word can sustain us even in the most difficult of times. Led by Karen Reincke in Ministry Room 2 at 10a on Wednesdays starting on April 12th. It is a 7 week class. Childcare provided on request.

We now offer activity bags for kids age 2 years old to 6 years old filled with books, coloring sheets, and activities to keep your child busy during church.  They are found on a coat rack in the back of the church.  Please return them after the service to the rack.  If you have quiet, distraction-free toys you would like to donate to the bags, please let Jenna Berry know at jberry@immlutheran.org.

Cookie Sale – Palm Sunday, April 2nd
How do you know when a Lutheran is knocking at your door? They start with a hymn and end with a sales pitch for their cookie sale! The Ladies Aid will
be selling homemade cookies on Palm Sunday for $10/pound in the nook and hallway. Please join us for our fund-raiser. Anyone interested in donating homemade cookies, contact Beverly Kennard at 586.242.4483 or b_kennard@yahoo.com.

Cemetery 

Grave Blankets and other wreaths etc. should be removed by Tuesday, April 4th. If not taken we will dispose on Wednesday, April 5th.

We affirm the Scripture’s teaching on the Lord’s Supper and if you have questions the pastors are always glad to help. If you say ‘yes’ and ‘amen’ to the following questions then you have unity with Immanuel’s confession of faith and you may take communion.
To prepare for communion:
•Are you baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit?
•Do you humbly confess that you are a sinner and you need the forgiveness only God can give?
•Do you desire to repent and turn away from your sins?
•Do you believe Jesus offers his body and blood in this meal for the forgiveness of your sins?
Should your child take communion? At Immanuel, communion is part of our confirmation process starting in 5th grade. If your child is younger please talk with a pastor first.
